Genuine, black and grey coloured, orthoceras fossil, in a handmade sterling silver pendant setting. Length 67mm, width 17mm.

 

Orthoceras was an ancient mollusk that lived more than 400 million years ago. The name means straight horn, referring to the characteristic long, straight, conical shell. The preserved shell is all that remains of this ancestor of our modern-day squid.

Orthoceras fossils are said to promote pride and success in business.

 

Orthoceras fossils were among the earliest forms of life and are regarded as one of the most gifted as well as brightest forms of ocean life.
